Garry Woodside
Minister of Music & Church Ministries
Garry Woodside serves as Minister of Music and Church Ministries with a heart for building vibrant, Christ-centered worship and ministries that connect across generations. With decades of experience in worship leadership, creative arts, teaching, and church revitalization, Garry brings both depth and innovation to ministry. He has led traditional, blended, and contemporary services, developed large-scale musical productions, and helped churches rediscover purpose and momentum—always with a focus on engaging people where they are and pointing them toward a life-changing relationship with Christ.
Originally from Hixson, Tennessee, Garry has deep roots in the Chattanooga area and a lifelong connection to the communities he serves. His ministry journey has taken him through churches across Tennessee and the Southeast, but his calling has always centered on serving local congregations and investing in people for the long term. That regional grounding gives him a strong appreciation for tradition, while his ministry experience fuels a forward-looking approach to reaching today’s families, students, and young adults.
Known for his progressive approach to ministry and his unwavering commitment to biblical truth, Garry believes worship should be both theologically grounded and creatively compelling. He is passionate about leveraging music, media, and modern tools to reach younger generations while strengthening the spiritual foundation of the church as a whole. His leadership style emphasizes authenticity, mentorship, and collaboration, creating environments where people can grow, serve, and belong.
Beyond platforms and programs, Garry’s ministry is shaped by real life, redemption, and restoration. Those experiences have given him a deep compassion for people at every stage of faith and life. His desire is to help build strong families, develop future leaders, and see the local church thrive—not just by doing ministry, but by living it out with integrity, humility, and hope.
When he's not at church, you might find him in his wood shop, in the mountains, out fishing, or watching a movie with his grandkids.
Life Verse: "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we instructed you, so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need."
—1 Thessalonians 4:11–12 (NASB)
